exposed to racing at an early age. This has help guide

The daughter of a well known hot rodder (the late Ernie Moorhouse) my experience
around cars goes back to age 3, many drag strips and show & shines set the future.
My first experience as an adult was at a dirt oval where alls I could think was “how on
earth can anyone race with such a dirty car!”
Watching Roy race on the road course in Calgary in the late 90’s I met the
#1 Canadian Tire CASCAR team who needed someone to record laps in the pits for
them during a 300 lap oval race…I was to write down each race from the monitor,
unfortunately a huge storm before the race knocked out the monitor and I had to
time and record each lap, my results were noted by the CASCAR team as amazing for
my first time ever working in the pits (I only missed one lap). I spent many hours
helping the team whenever they came out West to race.
My full-time job as the data recorder for racing began with an IMCA modified team
which eventually led to helping at Edmonton International Raceway.
From 2004 to now I did all of Roy’s oval racing data, tire changing, bolt checks etc.
plus the odd job in the pits for Edmonton International Raceway. This year (2008) I
am fortunate to have a full crew for Roy and my job is photographer, pit boss and
NASCAR Official at Edmonton International Raceway.
My favorite moment ever with racing; changing a tire in a pit stop
competition in 19 seconds…no help just me and an impact….
Grew up at the old Edmonton International Speedway (Speedway Park) at the drag strip
where mom ran the tower and dad was the starter/drag race operations manager. Worked in
various capacities at EIS until 1985. Worked for Race City in Calgary on the Drag Strip
in 1986 & 1987. Todd has worked in the automotive aftermarket and performance industry
for 22 years.

1992-1995 raced 360 Sprint Car class and Car Chief for IMCA Modified on the National Tour. IMCA track Champion at Capital Raceway
1991 bought a 360 Sprint Car and challenged for rookie of the year at Capital Raceway & worked for Capital Raceway at the Drag Strip
1988 - 1990 family owned business sponsored a Sprint Car at Calmar Raceway.
While being the first on the scene when accolades are to be received, they
tend to shirk their everyday responsibilities of car maintenance in favor of
garbage can shenanigans.
During the 2010 race season
both Ryan and Tyler piloted their own race cars to a
very successful first season for both...Ryan placing 2nd
over all in the Future Stocks and Tyler 8th in Mini
Cups. Both spent their spare moments in RWR's pits
learning and helping out.
